It’s not uncommon for kids to get super bored when they are stuck inside. And during this quarantine, boy are they bored!
It’s best to have fun indoor activities ready to keep them busy! And trust me, being a former teacher, I know what it’s like to have to keep kids entertained unexpectedly.
I have put together a list of fun indoor activities for kids that are perfect for toddlers and school age children. They include fun games, crafts, and other various activities to keep them entertained.
These activities are great whether the kids are stuck indoors because of a rainy day or the cold of winter.
And they’re also perfect if you’re home with your own kids and want to do something as a family or have them entertain themselves. And they’re even great for nannies!
So if you’ve been searching for fun things to do with your kids indoors then look no further! The following list has you covered.
Hint: For activities that require you to make some purchases, consider getting them ahead of time so they’re already on hand when you need them. (Of course heading out to the store is also a great way to entertain kids!)
Kids Indoor Activity #1 – Make A Giant Floor Maze
I love this idea! I think I would have wanted to make this over and over again had I known about it when I was a kid.
It’s fairly simple to make plus it’s budget-friendly. You can also be very creative with it and provide different learning activities.
And see what activities the kids can come up with!

Kids will have fun printing and cutting out all the pieces and then playing the game together. It’s called a party game but even just a few kids can play.
Kids Indoor Activity #6 – Kids Character Fleece Tie Blanket
This is another activity from The Inspiration Vault that I think kids would have a lot of fun making. (Or maybe I just love anything blanket related more than most other people because I’m cold about 95% of the time??…)
Most kids would probably need assistance with this one but it will certainly keep them busy for awhile.
They will also love to be able to pick out their own patterns! They can make them for gifts as well š
Kids Indoor Activity #7 – DIY Crayons
How often do kids get to turn their favorite crayons into a different shape? Well now they can!
This is a pretty easy activity that kids will love! Give it a try!

Kids Indoor Activity #11 – 5 Get Moving YouTube Channels
It can be difficult for kids to get exercise when they’re stuck inside the house for a long period of time (at least in a way that is safe where they’re not running through the kitchen – seriously, why does it always seem kids love to run in the kitchen??).
Check out these 5 YouTube channels that Forgetful Momma found and put together and get those kids moving! They will love these!
