I believe that out of control finances is one of the biggest, and often overlooked, causes of feeling overwhelmed. We see more stress, couple fights, and depression when we’re in over heads when it comes to finances.
Have you ever paid attention to what you’re spending money on? I mean, really paid attention? Actually written it down and compared all of it side by by side? If you have, how much of it is something that you really need?
What kinds of traditions does your family have around the holidays? Sitting around the fire sipping hot chocolate? Participating in Secret Santa? Baking cookies together? In my family, one of my favorite Christmas traditions is that every adult gets every other adult a stocking stuffer . It doesn’t have to be anything expensive. It doesn’t even have to cost anything at all!
Christmas can often be a time of stress, overwhelm, worry and when we spend a lot more money than we ever planned.
