Sometimes the perfect recipe comes together when you’re not even trying. And it make me even happier when it does for me because I do not consider myself the greatest cook. This one turned out to be delicious!
Raise your hand if you, like me, are a pro at procrastination. I’m not talking about the super-long-having-to-think-critically-and-spend-hours-at-something kind of tasks that get pushed off. I’m talking about the easy-doesn’t-take-more-than-a-few-minutes kind of tasks. This is the kind of procrastinating that can really hurt our productivity.
Some people think their house will always look messy because it is just too time consuming to clean. And when you have kids?…forget about it! I completely understand this and don’t disagree. But what I have come to realize is that not every time I clean does it need to be a deep, thorough, get-behind-every-nook-and-cranny kind of cleaning. I mean, who has time for that?!
I don’t know about you, but cleaning is not on my list of fun things to do. That’s one of the reasons I try to get it done as soon as possible – so I can cross it off my to do list and be done with it. With that being said, I actually do know some people who love to clean. But for the rest of us, it can often be a struggle to even begin. But you know what – I don’t think cleaning has to be a bore or something we dread.

That is why I like to be a speed cleaner when it comes to my place. And the kitchen is no exception! In fact, I think that when the kitchen is clean, it makes the rest of the home look a lot nicer! In this day and age, our lives are so busy and hectic that being overwhelmed is usually a matter of when and not if. With our long to-do lists, taking care of the family and, for many of us, working on top of it all, it’s not wonder we often feel stressed and overwhelmed. And you know what? There is no shame in it!
